Rl. Jan. 7 / Prod. No. 416 / 161/2 m / ap Charley Chase and Hugh McCollum / d Del Lord / st scr Elwood Ullman / ph Andre Barlatier / e Arthur Seid / C: Dorothy Granger (Mrs. Sturgeon), Bud Jamison (Lord Wafflebottom) and Bess Flowers (Mrs. Muriel Van Twitchett)

SYN: Mrs. Van Twitchett is in a terrible predicament. She's throwing a huge party for some society matron friends of hers, and has no escorts. So Van Twitchett has her maid look up the Acme Escort Service in the phone book and take care of the issue. When the maid (who isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer) accidentally gives Van Twitchett the Acme Exterminator Service's number, things get a little out of hand. Moe, Larry and Curly arrive on the scene, more than happy to help. They end up dining with some most distinguished people, teaching them an entirely different set of table skills, which the guest somewhat enjoy and begin to imitate. Later, the Stooges stage a fake musical act for the guests when they attempt to fool the guests by playing instruments to a record player. Just about the time, they blow their cover, Moe, hacking away at the Bass fiddle with a handsaw, saws the instrument in half and out comes a whole nest of mice. The guests part like the Red Sea, and the Stooges seize the opportunity to do some exterminating....Stooges style!!!

Quick Hits:

- Did you know that the gag of playing musical instruments with the aid of a record player was reworked by Abbott and Costello as the famous "All Right!" sketch?

- The Stooges used record players to get themselves into trouble in other occasions to - do you remember the song "Voices of Spring" in the short Micro-Phonies?
