Rl. July 6 / Prod. No. 4141 / 16 m / p d Jules White / st scr Felix Adler / ph Vincent Farrar / e Edwin Bryant / a Charles Clague / C: Moella, Larraine and Shempetta (played by Moe, Larry and Shemp)

SYN: Ravishing beauties Moella, Larraine, and Shempetta commission renowned artists Moe, Larry and Shemp to paint their portraits. And while an infestation of ants in their dresses makes it quite difficult for a woman to maintain her pose, a sizzling attraction grows between painters and subjects and soon the couples are engaged. The girls' father, however, won't consent to the marriage until meeting the suitors, so the Stooges journey to their fiancee's home determined to make a good impression on pop. In the hallway they meet an old coot so ornery that they sacrifice their chocolate engagement cake to teach the crusty old buzzard a lesson. Only later, when the girl's father arrives wearing that cake, do the Stooges realize that consent will never be granted unless they take even more drastic measures: the tickling of the father's feet until he agrees to give away his daughters.

Quick Hits:

- The key gag shows three lovely ladies (Moe, Shemp & Larry) sitting majestically while three artists (Moe, Shemp & Larry) paint their portraits. The girls find it a bit difficult to hold their poses, however, due to an infestation of ants in the bouqet of flowers they are holding.

- Totally orignal idea and a great overall flow keep this short interesting and a lot of fun to watch. One of my favorites!

FN: All roles were portrayed by the Three Stooges themselves. Moe (shown in a fake beard) was also playing the girl's father.
