Rl. June 4 / Prod. No. 1912 / 151/2 m / p d Jules White / st scr Jack White / ph Irving Lippman / e Harold White / a Walter Holscher / sd Sidney Clifford / ad Max Stein / C: Greta Thyssen (Greta), George Lewis (Jose), Joe Palma (Bull Ring Attendant) and Pepe the Dog

SYN: The Stooges are looking for work and ravishing booking agent Greta is just the one to help them out. She gets them a gig to perform their comedy bullfighting act in Mexico. She accidentally switches her identical suitcase with theirs and heads home to see her extremely jealous husband Jose. It doesn't take long for the Stooges to realize that Greta has their costumes for the upcoming show so they head to Greta's apartment to claim their loot. When they arrive, the catch Jose taking a nap, but he doesn't fail to catch them in his house with his wife. Jose immediately assumes the worst and accusses Greta of having an affair with all three men. The Stooges narrowly escape the wrath of Greta's angry husband and make it to their comedy bullfight gig in one piece. In the middle of the act, Jose (who happens to be a spectator at the event) notices the three scoundrels and decides to get some quick revenge. He pays the ground workers a few extra bucks to unleash the real bull and the act gets turned upside-down.

Quick Hits:

- Regretfully, this was the last Three Stooges short film ever filmed and it marked the end of a record-breaking 25 year marriage with Columbia Pictures. To this day, no other comedy team can boast of such an accomplishment.

- Buxom (reportedly 39-24-35), blonde, and statuesque, Greta Thyssen (born Thygesen) is perhaps best remembered for her leg art -- nude and otherwise -- than for any film roles. Miss Denmark of 1952, Thyssen arrived in Hollywood in 1955 as one of several blondes to appear in the wake of Marilyn Monroe's increasing popularity. Thyssen actually doubled Monroe in Bus Stop before signing a stock contract...

- In a short film that would have only earned 2.5 stars, I gave 2 extra stars to Greta Thyssen alone. Man, do I love that woman's looks! She was so beautiful in her day. And Yes, boys and girls, those ARE real (1 star for each)! CLICK HERE to see more photos and a small biography of this dish!

Hands down, my fav of all supporting cast members,
ladies and gentlemen...Miss Greta Thyssen!

WT: That's Bully / SD: 2 (July, 1957) / FN: A remake of What's the Matador? with ample stock footage. Wife faking a headache bit is also staged in Don't Throw That Knife (5/3/51).
