SYN:
Professor Quackenbush and Professor
Frankenberg are debating the affects of social surroundings vs. heredity
and arguing which has more bearing on a persons overall ability to
reflect a more gentleman-like appeal. Quackenbush wagers $1,000 that
he can turn three plumbers, Moe, Larry & Joe, into polished gentlemen
(through environment) in just 60 days. With the aid of his beautiful
daughter Lulu, the Professor attempts the impossible: to teach the
boys the proper way of eating, manners, communication and distinction.
After several weeks of hard effort, the night finally arrives when
the Stooges are showcased into society. Old habits soon emerge, however,
when the boys manage to steal Mrs. Smythe Smythe's diamond ring, all
of the silverware and for a grand finale, commence with a pie-throwing
melee.

Did
you know that Joe Besser just adored children? He spent much of
his spare time with kids and in his neighborhood was known as the
"toy repairman." He'd fix their toys for them when they
broke them.
