SYN:
After a mine payroll, Red Morgan
and his gang invade the town of Peaceful Gulch.
In a last minute attempt to save the town from utter destruction,
the city's newspaper editor publishes a photograph of the Stooges
(Wanted for Vagrancy) claiming they are really three famous marshalls
coming to town to clean up the town. In the meantime, Larry, Moe and
Curly are across the border selling patent medicine for their boss,
Abdul. When the team's patent medicine sales backfire, it's off the
the Peaceful Gulch Saloon, where Red Morgan mistakes them for the
marshals. Unfortunately for the Stooges, Red Morgan is tipped off
by the bartender that the whole thing was a hoax and the Stooges are
just a bunch of vagrants. In the ensuing chase, the boys accidentally
render Morgan unconcious, and later seen as local heros are deputized
to guard the town bank from Morgan's band of robbers. Naturally, Red
and his mob do rob the bank right under the Stooges noses, but they
redeem theirselves when they find the loot in Morgan's hideout in
the woods. In a final free-for-all with everything from bear traps
to bullets, the Stooges save the day, and the town bankroll.

Did you know that if you look really
closely in some scenes you can actually see a band-aid on the back
of Curly's neck?

This
film was remade (with Shemp as the third Stooge) in Merry Mavericks
(1951).
