SYN:
The widow Jenkins has just sold
her farmhouse to three con men for ten dollars an acre. Meanwhile,
Curly has discovered that he has the unusual gift of making any wish
come true. His latest wish produces an abandoned automobile which
transports the Stooges to Mrs. Jenkin's house just in time for roast
chicken, dumplings and apple pie (another wish of Curly's). In return
for the meal, work for their keep and discover that an oil well is
brewing on old widow Jenkins property. When they inform Mrs. Jenkin's
of her newly discovered wealth, Moe quickly realizes that she has
been swindled by land crooks and heads up a search for the three scoundrels.
During their trip back to town, the boys come across three hitchhiking
crooks (the owners of the abandoned car and now Mrs. Jenkin's land)
they recover the deed after a wild episode in the car on the way back
to the Jenkin's farm. The hoodlums end up on their backs when the
Stooges toss them overboard and keep the car and the deed. Now heroes,
Curly makes one last wish: that their was a Justice of the Peace around
and guess who walks in? The Stooges marry April, May, and June and
they all live happily ever after.

One
of the funniest special effects used in this film is when the boys
discover that the old water pump is sitting on top of the oil well.
In the process of fixing the pump, they aggrivate the well causing
it to blow with Curly shooting sky high on a stream of black gold.

Did you know that Linda Winters, who plays April Jenkins, went on
to bigger Hollywood fame using the name Dorothy Comingore?
