SYN:
The Stooges are singing waiters
performing their usual antics when two doctors come in and sit at
one of their tables. Noticing how funny the Stooges are, they ask
them to do a huge favor for a depressed little girl who cries pitiably
for her kidnapped father. They want the Stooges to use their tomfoolery
to try and snap little Betty out of her lethargy. Moe, Larry and Curly rush to
the hospital in an attempt to make the child laugh. After many attempts,
even the Stooges can't help little Betty. All that can save her, according
to the doctors, is the return of her daddy. Without haste, the Stooges
obtain a breif description of the man (he's 5' 10", bald and
likes to yodel) and begin their search. While investigating through
the city, the Stooges suddenly hear someone yodeling from a distant
apartment building; they race inside, and after a confrontation with
many kidnappers are able to rescue little Betty's father and save
the girl from her gloom.

Did you know there was an interesting
real-life correlation to this short film, when doctors discovered
an emotionally disturbed little girl would only communicate by reciting
numbers from Three Stooges trading cards?
FN:
This
is one of the many episodes that you see the Stooges dressed as women,
but this is the ONLY episode where they chose to do it for a good cause.
Usually, they dressed as women to avoid getting clobbered by an angry
foe or villain.
