SYN:
The Stooges come into some big
bucks when Shemp hits it big winning a $50,000 radio quiz show jackpot.
Before they've even seen their loot, the boys start spending their
money by registering at a swank Hotel (Hotel Costa Plente) and ordering
a case of expensive champagne to celebrate. Being new and naive to
the "lifestyle of the rich and famous" thing, they are lured
by three lovely "Gold-diggers" in the next room. The ladies
do everything possible to milk the Stooges out of their winnings.
When all was said and done, however, the Stooges didn't need their
help, as the government's deductions left Shemp with only $4.85.

Did you know that Nanette Bordeaux
appeared as "Fifi" in two consecutive Stooge classics.
First, she played the (French-maid Fifi) in "Pest Man Wins"
and then (Gold-digger Fifi) in "A Missed Fortune." Something
that had never before occured in the history of Stooge shorts.
FN:
A remade of Healthy, Wealthy and Dumb (5/20/38), using stock
