SYN:
In order to collect their late
Uncle's inheritance, Shemp, Larry and Moe are advised to subpoena
Icabod Slipp, the executor of the estate. Icabod, of course, turns
out to be a conniving crook and he gives the the Slip, literally!
The Stooges corner the conman at the Circle Follies Theatre. After
a chase ensues, the Stooges lock themselves in the dressing room of
one of the performers. Slipp and his assistants attempt to beat the
door down, and end up punching a hole in the door. Slipp gets his
head stuck in the door and the Stooges seize the opportunity to capture
Slipp once and for all. They grab a chair and put it around his neck
so he can't escape and use him as a human target as they assault him
with an arsenal of fruit. They end up with their inheritance, and
Slipp ends up a fruit salad.

Did you know that Emil Sitka, (playing
the Stooges' attorney) was the only supporting player inducted as
an actual member of the Three Stooges? Yes, Moe Howard enjoyed Emil's
work so much that he asked him to join the Stooges after Larry Fine
retired in the 1970's. The idea never developed, however, as shortly
afterward, Moe Howard fell ill with cancer and passed away.
