SYN:
Tiska, Taska, and Baska three
beautiful sisters must be married by midnight to collect a ten -million-dollar
legacy. At the advice of their attorney, the girls marry Larry, Moe,
and Curly, three convicts facing a public hanging for the Mushroom
Murders (which they are falsely accused). The ladies plan to collect
their dough, and of course, the Stooges are supposed to be ousted
from the picture the next day when they slip on a rope for a necktie.
During the execution, the ropes break as the weight of all three Stooges
is too much to handle. Meanwhile, Micky Finn and his gang (the real
murderers) have confessed to the Mushroom Murders and the governor
pardons our boys. They eventually track down their aristocratic wives
to find that they are not too pleased at their arrival. The Stooges
quickly catch on to their scheme and decide that in order to stay
married they must become society gentlemen by taking dancing lessons.
Then, at the first social dig of the year, the Stooges' wives (and
of course their money-hungry attorney) concoct a plan to get themselves
off the hook. Knowing the Stooges are bound to embarrass them in front
of all of their society friends, they would have proof and witnesses
as well as grounds for divorce. But when the plan fails miserably,
the ladies conclude that their attorney is the cause of all their
grief and decide to stay married.

Larry Fine recalled the most grueling
scenes in this film involved Pies:
"Sometimes
we would run out of pies, so the prop man would sweep up the pie
goop off the floor, complete with nails, splinters, and tacks.
Another problem was pretending you didn't know a pie was coming
your way. To solve this, Jules would tell me 'Now Larry, Moe is
going to smack you with a pie on the count of three.' Then Jules
would tell Moe, 'Hit Larry on the count of two!' So when it came
time to counting, I never got to three, because Moe crowned me
with a pie!"

FN: Footage
reused in Beer Barrel Polecats (1/10/46). Dance-lesson sequence
was from Hoi Polloi (8/29/35). Gag of Larry shaving while society
matron is applying her makeup is adapted from Hoi Polloi as well.
