SYN: While consuming a ham bone, Curly develops a terrible toothache, with the pain becoming so intense that he can't even sleep. Moe and Larry attempt several methods of modern magical dentistry to yank Curly's ailing ivory, but to no avail. They end up doing more damage to their house than to the tooth. Finally, out of sheer frustration, they make Curly go to sleep. When he does finally fall into a slumber, he dreams that Moe and Larry rush him to the dentist's office. Curly is terrified of the dentist, and the fact that he hears patients yelling in agony doesn't help matters. Moe tries to reassure Curly that theirs nothing to be afraid of by sitting in the dentist's chair calmly and unfrightened. The dentist enters the room and mistakes Moe for the out-of-control patient. Sneaking up on him in the dentist's chair, he administers a quick anesthetic and yanks his tooth before Curly can explain that he's the real patient. Hence, Curly's dream turns into a nightmare, when Moe wakes up and realizes his gears have been stipped. He tosses in his sleep avoiding an eruption of Mt. Moe and causes his triple bed to come crashing down on the lower two bunks of Larry and Moe. Once again, the nightmare is for real, as Moe, fed up with the whole ordeal, socks Curly in the jaw, popping out his bad tooth.

Quick Hits:

- Moe shows off his generosity in this short. He and Larry share an egg and a piece of ham, but Curly is allowed an entire bone and a whole eggshell for himself.

WT: Nothing But the Tooth / FN: Collapsing bed sequence is from In the Sweet Pie and Pie (10/16/41). Pulling teeth gag also in Leave 'Em Laughing (1928), with Laurel and Hardy.
