SYN: Melancholy Joe can't shake the memory of his darling Fifi, with whom he fell in love on the Rue de Schlemiel in Paris. Miraculously, Fifi moves right across the hall from the boys, but Joe is despondent to learn that she has been married....and to a mean-spirited bully. After Fifi visits to borrow a cup of sugar, Larry manages to drench her in a cocktail he had been brewing, forcing her to slip into a pair of Joe's dry and cuddly pajamas. When Fifi's husband arrives, she ducks for cover, but soon busts forth (with a baseball bat) when she hears dear ol' hubby boasting of his plans to dump her for another woman. Joe, always a gentleman, takes the bat away from Fifi....and allows her to use a bowling ball on the ungrateful cad instead.

White, who retired in the early 60's was honored in 1982 by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for his contributions to screen comedy.
