SYN:
It's April 1st, time to be interviewed
by those crazy census takers: The Three Stooges! The boys show up
on the doorstep of Mrs. Lucy Wycoff, their first customer. She answers
the Stooges questions, well, at leats until her insanely jealous husband
arrives on the scene. After hearing how jealous Mr. Wycoff is, they
decide to take refuge in the bedroom to hide until they can make their
escape. Big problem though...Mr. Wycoff decides to head to the bedroom
for a nap. Mr. Wycoff quickly discovers that his wife (laying in the
bed next to him) isn't his wife at all, it's Shemp! To really put
a crown on his anger, he sees two more men in the house when Moe and
Larry try to get outta town. He chases them into the living room and
decides to rehearse his knife-throwing act with some real human targets.

Did you know that the
Stooges are also census takers in No Census, No Feeling (10/4/40)
with Curly Howard.
-
The Stooges get the wonderful opportunity
to serve as human targets in a couple of other shorts. In Three
Little Pirates (1946), Larry gets the honors, as Curly hurls knives
inches over his melon. In Three Little Twirps (1943), all three
of the boys become human targets for a spear-chunking madman.
