SYN:
The Stooges return from prospectin'
to their humble abode (The City Dump) to find that it has been taken
over by Jimmy, a crippled boy, and his sister. Jimmy walks on a crutch
because he needs a leg operation that costs $500 bucks, but doesn't
have the dough. He and his sister had been saving everything they
could in a can in the back yard ($62.00). The Stooges come across
the can and think they've struck a mint, but they soon realize that
the money is for Jimmy's leg operation. In an effort to help out the
boy, the Stooges take the money to try to open a bank account thinking
the money would grow to $500 based on the interest. Two con-men overhear
the conversation and swindle the Stooges out of Jimmy's money by selling
them a map to Captain Kidd's Kid's buried treasure, located in an
old mansion. The Stooges wreck the place and eventually dynamite their
way into a hidden room (The United States sub-Treasury). They find
gold alright...and lots of it. They also find themselves being arrested
for breaking into the U.S. Treasury. The Stooges are pardoned, however,
after explaining their innocence before President Roosevelt, and arrangements
are made for Jimmy's leg operation. The
