The Three Stooges, like many stage and screen performers, observed various superstitions throughout their careers. Moe avoided whistling whenever he was in a dressing room. And in the early vaudeville days, and later when he toured the country with Larry Fine and Joe DeRita, Moe refused to send out his laundry for cleaning until after the first performance was over. He was afraid it might jinx the show. And Moe would always avoid lighting three cigarettes on one match. Larry's favorite superstition? "Never throw your hat on a bed."
