My Personal Collection

O.K., I told you I was going to showcase some of my things, so here we go. Enjoy!

1984 Three Stooge Mylstar Video Arcade Game

This was my most prized possession. I say "was", because I had to let this one go. I sold the game in '99 to buy an engagement ring for the the beautiful blonde mentioned in the previous page. Oh well, I guess everything good has a price! Perhaps, one day, I'll buy another one. I bought the game on eBay for about $1200. I resold the game about 1-1/2 years later for $2,000. Not a bad investment in my book.

A LITTLE HISTORY LESSON ON THE GAME

(offered by my Stooge bud Harry Ross - founder of Soitenly Stooges)

1949 Jubilee Comic #1

This is the "Cadillac" of Stooge Comics.I consider this one of the most rare and prizeditems in my collection. The Jubilee # 1 is so scarcethat you would be lucky to find one today, even with the help of eBay. No, it's not for sale! This comic will easily cost you $500+ for a comic in VG+ condition like mine.

(See more about this comic in the Comicography Section)

1949 Jubilee Comic #2

If the Jub # 1 is the "Cadillac" of Stooge Comics, then this beautiful Jubilee # 2 must be at least the Cutlass Supreme of comics. This comic, also illustratedby Norman Maurer and Joe Kubert, is a beauty!I purchased both of my Jubilee's from the same collector. I was very fortunate to find them at all, much less both from one guy. As I mentioned in the description of the Jub #1, these two comics are the most sought after of all the Stooges comics. Again, your best bet to find either of them is at a Stooges convention or on Ebay.

Danbury Mint "Which Way?" Statue

"Hot Dog", When it comes to porcelain, this is the"Cat's Meow". I wouldn't trade this beauty fora million bucks. Last I checked, you could stillpurchase this bad boy direct from Danbury Mint.

Believe it or not, it's still under $100 bucks!

(The Statue is about 8" wide, 6" in depth, and 11" tall.)

Franklin Mint (Nazi Stooges) Statue

This particular statue is put out by the Franklin Mint. The same company that made the Plate Series. In fact, plate number one is the Nazi Stooges Plate. This statue is still available for $195.00. The sculpture is hand painted and made of porcelain. A really nice addition to a collection or just a conversation piece!

To order this sculpture, click on the link below.

(The Statue is about 11" wide, 7" in depth, and 13" tall.)

Franklin Mint Plate Series by Drew Struzman

One of my favorite pieces is the Plate Series by Drew Struzman.Even though, this set is still very much obtainable,I can't help but appreciate the excellent artwork and fine quality of this set.The plates are still available directly from The Franklin Mint for around $35 each. They are also readily available on eBay for much less.Sometimes with the original certificates, sometimes without. The certificates are folded in half when you get them anyhow, so they're hard to display .

To order these plates, click on the link below.

(These plates are all 9" in diameter.)

1992 Lunar Models Diorama Resin Cast Model

For About $230 you can purchase this Model from Lunar Models in CA.,It comes in pieces and unpainted. You have to paint it by hand after assembling it.It's a ton of work, but when finished you'll have a conversation piece for years to come.

I found the maker of this model on the Internet at www.lunarmodels.com

(The base is 15" wide, 9" in depth, and roughly 10" tall.)

Moe Ventriloquist Doll 1981

This doll is a bit hard to find, but it still surfaces on eBay occasionally.I happened to find mine on eBay about 1 1/2 years ago in mint condition.Every now and then, when I get up at night for a drink of water, this thing issitting on my fridge looking down at me laughing. Wasn't that in a movie or something? If you can get past its eeriness, it's a great collectible to have. This doll still brings about $100 on eBay.In mint condition with the box, you're looking at close to $200.

1959 Colorforms Set - #333

This is the first of two Colorforms sets put out with the Stooges as the theme. This particular set, is the most obtainable. The tough part is finding a set with all the pieces still in it. Toys like this are rare and almost impossible to find with all the original pieces. You might have to piece a set together by buying several sets. This set cost me $200 complete and in great condition. The pieces still stick like brand new. You have to be careful with the colorforms set to make sure that the pieces haven't dried out. Make sure you ask this before making a purchase.

1959 Colorforms Set - #3333

This is the second of two Colorforms sets put out with the Stooges as the theme. This particular set, is harder to locate than the first, and obviously would be harder to piece together due to the number of pieces in the set. Toys like this are rare and almost impossible to find with all the original pieces. You might have to piece a set together by buying several sets. This set cost me $300 complete and in great condition. The pieces still stick like brand new. You have to be careful with the colorforms set to make sure that the pieces haven't dried out. Make sure you ask this before making a purchase.

1959 Lowell Fun House Board Game

This is the the only board game I've seen featuring the Stooges. There have been many other games, but none quite like this. Now days you're likely to see Pokemon, Barbie, or Rug Rats board games, but not the Stooges. The Lowell Board game, just as the Colorforms games, featured many different parts and pieces to get lost in the sofa cushions and closet floors of the many kids hatched in the baby-boom generation. To find this game complete, might mean purchasing several and piecing one together. To find one in the condition pictured above, means about $250 to $300 bucks!

Three Stooges Custom-made 1/24 scale NASCAR

This NASCAR replica of the real racer driven on the circuit by Ken "Shemp" Bouchard is very detailed. This thing has opening hood, truck, roof flaps, and real hoses and rubber tires. I really like this collectible piece even though it isn't a licensed product that you can simply order from a catalog. This one was custom-made by a company out of Colorado called "Kenny's Customs". Knowing that the Stooges were huge in the merchandising world, he decided to build up some replicas out of the same generic car model that Ken drives on the NASCAR tracks. I bought it because if the Stooges Beer flops for whatever reason, or if they quit sponsoring the racing team, then this item will surely be worth some money in a few years. But to be quite honest, the main reason I wanted it is because it simply looks cool. I have it showcased between all of my other Three Stooges Beer Collectibles on top of my T.V. in the living room. It makes quite a conversation piece for the living room.

1980 ESCO Plaster Statues

This beautifully hand sculpted set of Statues is one of my favorite. They stand about 17" to 18" tall, and are pretty heavy. I'd say about 5 lbs. each. I paid about $175 for my set, but I've seen them cheaper on eBay. I heard through another collector that this set was created twice. I'm not sure if the 1980 set was the older or newer set. Any info on that would be appreciated. Many people refer to these statues as the "Hear no, See no, Speak no evil" statues, but if that was the intention, ESCO obviously left Larry out of the equation, and curly is working double-time. It almost seems unfair...

1978 Tuscany Studios Stooges Lamppost

This has to be one of the coolest Three Stooges collectible pieces I know of. I remember looking for one of these things for months and finally I found one unpainted on ebay. This one pictured here is a painted version of the same statue. The interesting thing about this statue is that some of them were made into Lamps. They have mounting hardware on top for a lampshade and a hole in the bottom for the cord. What a cool way to show of your true Stooge colors. This is a very unusual piece because it never featured Curly as the third Stooge. It has always been known as the "Shemp" lamppost. A lamppost/Statue like this would cost anywhere from $80 - 200 bucks on eBay. Unpainted, it may be worth even more.

(This statue stands about 21" tall.)

Check out the Great Entertainer Series Statues

1985 Great Entertainer Series Plate

The Great Entertainer Series was a Plate & Sculpture Series Put out by Norman Maurer Productions in 1985. The plate was really neat. It's a standard 9" plate that has a 3-D representation of the Stooges molded into it and it's hand-painted. In addition to the Plate in the Film Tin, there was also a really cool set of Statues featuring Moe, Larry, & Curly that accommodated this set (for an extra fee, of course) that was molded to the same likeness of the three images on the plate. I have the Statues as well, and will feature them as soon as I get a good picture of them. This plate might cost you around $100 on eBay in mint condition. The Statues are going to set you back about $500 for a mint set. They're expensive, but really beautiful.

1962 Golden Funtime Punch-Out Book

I was very fortunate to run across this gem on ebay about a year ago. This is an old punch out book that allowed the kiddies to create Circus scenes by punching out little characters of elephants, balls, seals, dogs, hoops, monkeys, cars, and of course...Stooges! This particular kiddie must have been sheltered in his closet and deprived of the pleasure of using his punch-out book. This one was in mint condition, and totally unpunched. This book in mint condition, if found, might cost you between $75 - $150. This book was published by Golden Press, Inc. And copyright Norman Maurer Productions.

1996 Spumco Collection 24" Dolls

In the late ninties SPUMCO Productions released the most comical Three Stooges Dolls ever. This charicature style doll is 2' tall and really captures the comical likeness' of their respective human prototypes. The cartoon company SPUMCO has created many interesting and wonderfully detailed dolls. They have a very zany style and the "Stooges" dolls were no exception. This large style doll is also available in a 12" version which was so popular that the series spawned 2 other versions of the same dolls (the harem dolls, and the golf dolls). You can view all of the sets in my Collectible Vault.

1961 RCA Birthday Record Promotion

I had the promotional Poster for the RCA Birthday Record given to me by another Stooge Collector Paul Gieruckie. The Individual Records are much easier to find on the Internet today. I see them go regularly on eBay for $20 - $30 bucks. The Promotional Poster on top, is a bit harder to locate. I have seen them surface on the auction block, and generally go home with their new owners for around $30 - $60.

1984 Hanging Mobile

This colorful Hanging Mobile was used for promoting the upcoming VHS released to be put out in 1984 by RCA Columbia Pictures Home Video and Norman Maurer Productions. The Video release was a huge success and spawned the release of several new series of videos that are available today. The set included 12 videos with 3 Short-film episodes on each tape. Each tape is about an hour long, and all featured Curly as the third Stooge. The VHS Collection did so well in the stores that a short-lived Laserdisc run followed right after. The picture below shows a Laserdisc promotion for the upcoming series.

Gigantic Stroh's Beer Promotional Stand-Up

This cool Stroh's Beer Ad used in Grocery Stores to promote the Three Stooges Giveaway for Stroh's in 1996 is another rare Promotional Item. If you can get your hands on any of the Promotional items, by Hostess, Coors, Stroh's, Clark Gas Stations, Lottery items, or any kind of ad that features the Stooges. Hang on to them! They will be worth a lot because they are one time promotions. They are dated, and depending on the amount of money spent on the promotions, they may exist in very limited numbers. I have no idea how many Stroh's Stooges Life-sized Stand-ups that were printed, but I know I haven't seen another one yet. I hate to speculate on what this item is worth, so I won't, but I guarantee you, to a serious Stooges Collector, this item will be worth a lot of cash some day soon.

1985 Bradley Quartz Hanging Wristwatch

I bought this wristwatch/clock from a guy who bought out a restaurant called "Three Stooges Eatery" in Florida. The watch although not that old, is a real pain in the butt to find. In fact, I've never seen one surface on ebay in over 2 1/2 years. I would think, this collectible item would easily sell for $100 bucks which is what I paid. This particular wristwatch came with the package it was purchased in, and it works like a champ.

(This watch is about 26" tall, the face is about 7" wide.)

If it weren't for the online auctions I wouldn't have the collection I have today.

eBay is The mother of all online auction sites!

At any given time ebay has about 750 - 1000 + Stooges items on auction.

OTHER AUCTION SITES

Yahoo has recently added online auctions to their features list.
And if I must say..."not bad"

They're new to the auction thing, and already over 250+ Stooges items regularly.
