Using POSTICONS requires the use of EZCODES in the Message you are posting. EZCODES can be used to do numerous things that are explained in detail on the EZBOARD website. Each registered member is able to use EZCODES to spruce up their postings and add interest to their messages.

This brief tutorial goes through the simple art of adding a POSTICON (like the ones shown above) to your message. Remember: this only works if you are a registered member of the EZBoard community. It only take a few minutes to register, and the service is FREE, of course. So get registered and start making the most of this EZBoard community.

 

O.K., here we go...

If you want to insert the image anywhere from within your post, you would simply use the following EZCODE:

[image]image URL[/image]

So if you wanted to insert the little blue sad face in your post, you would use the following EZCODE:

[image]http://www.ezboard.com/images/posticons/pi_lovesick.gif[/image]

NOTE: You can copy the URL directly from the POSTICON table above.

...and this little guy would show up in your post:

Notice, the only thing I changed about the EZCODE was the path to the image that I wanted to insert. The POSTICON table above, has every possible URL that you can use. Actually, if you had a URL of any kind of image, you could use that as well, but for this purpose, we're only talking about the POSTICON images.

O.K. let's approach it from this direction. Let's say you want to reply to a post or start you own new post. To start the post, hit the 'New Topic' button...

A screen like this appears, and you insert your post info. Let's say you typed your post similar to the one shown above. This post would include 2 POSTICONS, and 1 Emoticon at the very end of the post (:smokin).

Now go on out there and have fun! Don't forget, you do have the option to preview your posts before you actually make a post. There is a Checkbox at the bottom of the screen that enables a 'Preview' option. Check that box, and you will always see what a post will look like, before you submit it.
